Milano: ‘I Have Two Guns in My Household for Self-Defense’ – Cruz Destroys Her

Leftwing activist Alyssa Milano claims “Donald Trump is a white supremacist, and red [MAGA] hats are the new white hood.” So, when she sat down with Senator Ted Cruz hoping to win a gun debate and convince Americans we should surrender our Second Amendment rights, Milano exposed her own hypocrisy by admitting she has two guns for “self-defense.” Well, Cruz just humiliated her. You’ll love this.

In all fairness, a gun debate between a former child actor and a sitting U.S. Senator who got his law degree from Harvard University is just a tad bit mismatched. Ted Cruz, being a gentleman, took a low-key attitude. But make no mistake, he still cleaned her clock.

The debate was held in Cruz’s Capitol Hill office, where Milano and Fred Guttenberg — whose 14-year-old daughter Jaime was killed in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting in Parkland, Florida — pressed the senator on various gun control proposals.

Milano proposed universal background checks, restricting access to AR-15s, and background checks for bullet purchases, while insisting, “We all believe in the Second Amendment.” Despite that claim, she pleaded, “We have to try everything, and figure out what works. Isn’t that worth it?”

Around 13 minutes into the discussion, Guttenberg said he was offended by Cruz’s argument that these gun controls would erode Americans’ rights to self-defense. “That’s a load of BS,” he said. “Nobody’s trying to remove your right to self-defense.”

“By the way,” Milano interjected, “I have two guns in my household for self-defense, just so you know.”

By the way, that little factoid makes her an utter hypocrite. We also have to call out Guttenberg who came off like a pompous ass. We can’t be afraid to speak the truth just because the man experienced a real tragedy. More on that later in the article.

The truth is “Milano has a history of supporting gun control that would impact law-abiding citizens but would do nothing to prevent lawless behavior of criminals,” Breitbart reports.

For example, on June 1, 2019, Milano pushed universal background checks in response to the Virginia Beach shooting, where 12 innocent people were killed.

Milano tweeted: “11 KILLED AND MCCONNELL WON’T BRING #HR8 UP FOR A VOTE. Tell me again how the @GOP is ‘pro-life’ when they won’t vote for a bill— that already passed the house—that would make the country safer from gun violence. #NoRA.”

“The problem with Milano’s push was that the Virginia Beach gunman acquired his handguns — not a rifle — and passed a background check while purchasing them. This means universal background check legislation would simply serve to put more hoops between law-abiding citizens and guns for self-defense but would have done nothing to prevent the Virginia Beach shooting,” Breitbart added.

After Milano’s confession about owning two guns for self-defense, Guttenberg tried to re-group by bringing up his bill for background checks on ammunition purchases. Guttenberg hates President Trump and has called for his removal claiming that he is a “racist” and that his tweets have led to “Americans dying.”

It’s at this point in the low-key debate that Cruz schools Milano and Guttenberg.

The biggest problem with those like Milano and Guttenberg who call for abolishing the National Rifle Association, and scream about additional gun laws, is their sheer ignorance of the laws we already have in place.

We already have background checks. But as Cruz points out, the shooter in Sutherland Springs, Texas passed the background check because the DOJ failed to input he had been deemed “a mental defective” by a judge in the state database. The shooter in Odessa, Texas had failed background checks in 2014, so he bought a gun from a private source.

It’s not that we need “new and stricter” background checks. If anything, the loophole in that system is between the federal government and state databases, as Cruz noted. We don’t need a new law to make sure the federal government database updates state databases.

The Texas Senator then shocked Milano and Guttenberg by telling them he had a bill called the “Grassley-Cruz Firearm Act” which called to “preserve law-abiding citizens’ Second Amendment rights, while putting in place requirements to ensure relevant agencies and institutions accurately submit records to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) in order to prevent criminals from obtaining firearms.”

The punchline was that it was the Democrats who refused to pass the bill back in 2013.

Ted Cruz also reminded them that three of the current Democratic candidates running for president are advocating gun confiscation. Milano and Guttenberg sat there speechless.

As far as Fred Guttenberg is concerned, the issues that led to his daughter being shot and killed have nothing to do with background checks or crazy rednecks who cling to their AR-15s.

Andrew Pollack, whose daughter was also killed by the Parkland shooter at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school, just published a book which investigated exactly what led to that shooting. Pollack stated on Fox News that the rabid gun control leftists are scared of what he has uncovered.

Pollack blames the Obama administration who made sure schools were prevented from contacting the police when a student had broken the law.

In the case of Parkland shooter Nikolas Cruz, he had been kept off the radar of police even though Cruz’s eighth-grade language arts teacher wrote that “Nikolas is a danger to the students and faculty at this school.” She took detailed notes of his outbursts in class as well as drawings he would make of people shooting at each other, in addition to “creepy sexual pictures” such as “dogs with large penises.”

Then, in high school, things got worse. He became more violent, however, thanks to Broward County’s PROMISE program, which comes straight from the Democrats under Obama. Misdemeanors were not reported to the police.

“This incompetent Robert Runcie superintendent, he brought those policies to Broward where it started, and kids were allowed up to four misdemeanors per school year. Could you imagine that, without ever getting arrested or meeting the judicial system?” Pollack said.

Pollack also said that all mainstream media sources are ignoring his book and his investigation into what really happened. Pollack stated he couldn’t in “good conscience advocate for stricter gun laws when that’s not going to do a damn thing to stop the next school shooting.”

We all really hope Americans will listen to a man like Andrew Pollack whose number one goal was to learn the truth about these school shootings. Getting rid of all guns and ammunition from law-abiding citizens isn’t going to prevent criminals and those who are deranged from committing violent crimes and mass shootings.
