She proposes to use our taxes to create new “green” jobs and make America solely reliant on renewable energy. And she has more than 40 House Democrats who are all on board. Well, patriotic Americans aren’t on board, and the poor Socialist darling isn’t laughing now as her scheme just got destroyed. Don’t miss this.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is so out of her depth in Congress that she just made a fool of herself. The 29-year-old Congresswoman backs the Green New Deal — which aims to combat both climate change and income inequality with a massive and costly economic overhaul. Ocasio-Cortez has called it “a wartime-level, just economic mobilization plan to get to 100% renewable energy.” We call it a Socialistic scheme.
“In an interview set to air Sunday on CBS News’ 60 Minutes, Ocasio-Cortez — who has begun referring to herself by the nickname, ‘AOC’ — told Anderson Cooper that the ‘Green New Deal’ would ‘require a lot of rapid change that we don’t even conceive as possible right now,’ including raising taxes to a marginal rate of 70%, as in the 1960s,” Breitbart reported.
Great, raising taxes to 70%? Who in their right mind would ever back a plan like this? Well, the “Green New Deal” is, in fact, an old idea, first championed by President Barack Obama’s “green jobs” czar, Van Jones. It seeks to implement classic socialist policies of state-run enterprises, using the pretext of an environmental crisis.
Fox News reports, “A draft text circulated around Congress lays out a framework that includes eliminating greenhouse gas emissions from manufacturing and agriculture and ‘dramatically’ expanding energy sources to meet 100 percent of power demand through renewable sources.”
So let’s get this straight. AOC wants to power the entire United States on “renewable sources.” Not only is this ridiculous, but it would also be so expensive that wealthy Americans would be taxed 70% for hundreds of years. But what is scary is that there are climate change zealots who actually believe global warming is an apocalyptic scenario which will end the world soon.
“To that end, proponents often exaggerate the threat of climate change and other environmental challenges. AOC herself has warned of ‘cataclysmic climate disaster‘ unless the United States moves to 100% renewable energy sources in the next ten years,” added Breitbart.
AOC is just a useful idiot who is being used by those like Al Gore, the global warming czar, who has turned the Green New Deal and similar programs into a huge money-making scheme. Yet, the booming economy isn’t good for the Democrats who need to find a way to stall President Trump’s major accomplishment of turning Barack Obama’s failing economy around.
“President Trump in 2017 signed a measure that slashed taxes across the board — a move that was opposed by most Democrats. Democrats have called for those tax cuts — particularly the ones for the wealthy — to be reversed, while Republicans have argued that the cuts have helped fuel economic growth,” Fox News reported.
Well, Americans see right through this Green New Deal, especially after the Obama’s massive failures. Who can forget Obama’s “green jobs” program which was a notable failure, with many investments failing to pay off? Most notoriously the solar panel company Solyndra, which failed after Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and others held it up as a model.
Now, the former bartender turned New York Representative just got destroyed by savvy Americans who refuse to buy her Green New Deal. “I’m not giving up my cars. Or my boat. Or my backyard fire pit. Zero emissions is never happening,” tweeted Twitter user “Michael.”

Margot Cleveland, The Federalist journalist, hit the nail on the head, tweeting, “[B]ecause collapsing an economy is the only way to achieve the ‘Green New Deal.”‘ That’s spot on. These Democratic rats want to collapse Trump’s economy so he doesn’t get re-elected.

“So…how are the airlines going to fly millions upon millions of commuters around the country in electric airplanes in 12 yrs? Looking at just ONE sector…this would be catastrophic to the aviation industry AND the economy,” posted Kurtis Houk responding to Ocasio-Cortez’s plan. And David Hayes tweeted a meme with AOC declaring she would save the whole world by taxing Americans to death.

According to Fox News, while Ocasio-Cortez is seen as being on the far left of the Democratic Party, her call for a Green New Deal is increasingly being embraced by more mainstream Democrats, including possible 2020 candidates such as Sens. Cory Booker, D-N.J., and Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass. In the House, the activist Sunrise Movement says that it has more than 40 House members who are backing the Green New Deal, including Reps. Tulsi Gabbard, D-Hawaii, Joe Kennedy, D-Mass., Ted Lieu, D-Calif., and Veronica Escobar, D-Texas.
Luckily, the Senate and the presidency is controlled by the Republicans, so this plan won’t see the light of day over the next two years. But if there was a good reason for patriotic Americans to rally around the GOP in the 2020 elections, this horrendous Green New Deal is one.
Not only must we re-elect President Trump but we must ensure the House and the Senate are Republican controlled. These far-leftist Socialists are the new Democratic Party and we can’t afford to give them any power. They’ll make Barack Obama look like Ronald Reagan.
