Ilhan Omar had an utter meltdown Thursday afternoon after one prominent Somali leader in Minnesota came forward giving details about her alleged marriage to her brother. Omar is facing an FBI review of this marriage issue amongst other things. So, its no wonder she is freaking out. Don’t miss this.

Abdihakim Osman is a leader in the same Somali community in Minnesota which has given rise to Ilhan Omar. Now, he is on the record speaking about her reported marriage to her brother identified as Ahmed Elmi.

For those who have some knowledge of this scandal, Omar’s complex relationship issues go back to 2002 when she married Ahmed Hirsi, who would become the father of her three kids. However, that 2002 marriage was not legal civilly. Omar describes it as a religious ceremony only. She did not need a civil divorce to marry Ahmed Elmi, who is identified as her brother, in 2009.

“Abdihakim Osman is the first person to go on record to speak of how Omar said she wanted to get her brother papers so he could stay in the United States, at a time when she was married to her first husband Ahmed Hirsi,” Daily Mail reports.

“But hardly anyone realized that meant marrying him,” Osman said. “No one knew there had been a wedding until the media turned up the marriage certificate years later.”

So, in 2009, Omar gets legally married to her alleged brother, Ahmed Elmi. This marriage was not a religious ceremony. In 2010, both Omar and Elmi enroll in North Dakota University. This college enrollment is the motivation for the alleged marriage to her brother, who was not a U.S. citizen. The marriage allowed Elmi to obtain grants only available to those married to U.S. citizens.

“But in the late 2000s, Elmi (the brother) appeared in Minneapolis, said Osman, who referred to Hirsi (first husband) by his nickname ‘Southside’ throughout the interview,” Daily Mail adds.

“People began noticing that Ilhan and Southside (Hirsi) were often with a very effeminate young guy,” said Osman, who spoke in Somali through an interpreter. “He was very feminine in the way he dressed — he would wear light lipstick and pink clothes and very, very, short shorts in the summer. People started whispering about him.”

“[Hirsi] and Ilhan both told me it was Ilhan’s brother and he had been living in London but he was mixing with what were seen as bad influences that the family did not like. So they sent him to Minneapolis as ‘rehab’,” Osman added.

Osman, who runs a popular Facebook blog called Xerta Shekh, which comments on Somali issues, said that Omar kept her marriage to Elmi quiet, with no one from the Somali community invited to the wedding.

He explained: “When [Hirsi] and Ilhan got married, a lot of people were invited. It was a big Islamic wedding uniting two large clans in the Minneapolis community. I would say there were 100-150 people there.”

“When she married Elmi, no one even knew about it,” he added.

So, Osman’s claims fit perfectly with the other investigative work into the alleged marriage. Elmi settled in London, while Ilhan settled in America. The family was split up coming from the Kenyan refugee camp. Osman also confirmed he has been interviewed by the authorities and provided detailed information.

Osman’s claim that “Omar said she wanted to get her brother papers so he could stay in the United States,” also fits. The New York Post reported last month that the FBI was looking into the marriage and had met with a source in Minneapolis who handed over “a trove of documents” related to the marriage.

Of course, Omar took to social media immediately having an utter meltdown claiming bigotry and racism.

The same people who chastise the progressive movement regularly traffic in anti-Muslim smears and hate speech against me and those I represent. It’s almost as if they don’t genuinely care about online harassment,” Ilhan tweeted.

“Paying people to generate fake new stories in order to delegitimize me and those I represent isn’t a good look. Desperation is a sad mobilizing tool,” she added.

Independent journalist Mike Cervonich responded to Omar: “Congresswoman, half of my family is Muslim, I have NO TIME for any bigotry against Muslims. And it’s also true that public records obtained by @realDSteinberg contain real questions. Which you won’t answer. Even the left-wing @StarTribune has reported a version of this story.”

“Congresswoman, this is a left-wing outlet. They said you wouldn’t comment for their story,” added Mike Cervonich. He included the article by the Star Tribune on Omar’s alleged marriage to her brother.

“Anti-anything/anyone speech is free speech. The 1st amendment was designed to protect all speech, including speech some may view as hateful speech. No one, most especially elected officials living off of taxpayer $$$,$$$ are above criticism or exposure,” tweeted Teagan Reilly.

“You’re being investigated by the Department of Justice, Department of Education Inspector General, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Spare me with the ‘Anti-Muslim’ nonsense,” tweeted Twitter user “ALX.”

Ilhan Omar has refused to ever answer any questions or provide any documents regarding her marriage to Ahmed Elmi. For her divorce from him in 2017, she told the court she had “no idea where” he was at. Internet sleuths quickly found an Ahmed Elmi of London posting on Ilhan Omar’s social media accounts as her brother.

The Minnesota Congresswoman has since scrubbed these photos and postings. Luckily, investigators had retained screenshots. There is a boat-load of evidence to suggest Ilhan Omar married her brother. The fact she constantly cries anti-Muslim bigotry when anyone asks her to clarify the evidence sure seems like she has something to hide.
