Joe Biden is getting ready to announce his bid to run for president in 2020. The former vice-president warmed up his act at the Munich Security Conference over the weekend, as he apologized for the Trump administration’s policies of putting America first. Talking about the border crisis, the 76-year-old claimed, “The American people understand plainly that [Trump’s border policies] make us an embarrassment.” Well, President Donald Trump destroyed him. You’ll love this.

Joe Biden has decided the best way to win the election in 2020 is to emulate his former boss, Barack Obama. And just like Obama’s big apology tour, the former vice-president bowed his head in front of the Munich Security Conference and asked them all to forgive America for being great.

Trying to curry favor with Europeans who hold America in contempt, Biden said: “The America I see values basic human decency, not snatching children from their parents or turning our back on refugees at our border. Americans know that’s not right. The American people understand plainly that this makes us an embarrassment. The American people know, overwhelmingly, that it is not right. That it is not who we are.”

Well, that’s really rich coming from Barack’s number two, who knows very well it was the Obama administration who started the separation policy back in 2014. And we wonder how many people in Germany, France, and England feel about their own border crisis? We bet they wished they could turn back time and not allow the influx of hundreds of thousands of Middle Easterner refugees into their own countries.

But old Uncle Joe wasn’t finished. As The Washington Examiner reported, Biden added: “While I cannot speak today as an elected government official who is able to set policy, I can speak as a citizen. I can offer insight into my country. I know we’ve heard a lot today about leadership, but in my experience, leadership only exists if somebody — and others — are with you. Leadership in the absence of people who are with you is not leadership.”

Despite the fact that Biden was clearly attacking the Trump administration in public, he couldn’t resist this piece of hypocrisy: “You’re never allowed to disagree with your brothers and sisters in public. Today, because of, I think, a lack of leadership coming from the other side of the Atlantic, we find ourselves in a different place, and it’s uncomfortable,” the Daily Wire reported.

Then, Joe had to make the point that President Trump does not respect countries traditionally allied with America. Biden continued, “I have spent the better part of the last two years traveling throughout the United States of America, from Minnesota to Texas; from Boston to Birmingham. I can assure you, that the American people, the ultimate wellspring of power in the United States of America, remain committed to engaging the world with decency and respect.”

“Those same people who I met all across the United States, who may feel disconnected, discounted, ignored, or left behind … They still believe, as I do, that the core values enshrined in our alliances are worth defending,” Biden said.

Funny, wasn’t it Barack Obama who moved the bust of Great Britain’s Winston Churchill, arguably the most important leader of the 20th century, out of the Oval Office? Wasn’t it Obama who canceled a missile defense system in Poland, triggering the Polish president to slam him for doing so?

And didn’t Obama go to France in 2009, while on his extended apology tour and say, “In America, there’s a failure to appreciate Europe’s leading role in the world. Instead of celebrating your dynamic union and seeking to partner with you to meet common challenges, there have been times where America has shown arrogance and been dismissive, even derisive.”

The 44th president was an epic failure, and Americans looked on in horror as he degraded this great nation on the world stage. In fact, Americans were so tired of the Obama years, we did what the political pundits and scholars said was impossible, we elected Donald Trump. And President Trump has made it clear who America is and how we relate to other nations.

“We will seek friendship and goodwill with the nations of the world, but we do so with the understanding that it is the right of all nations to put their own interests first,” Trump said on his inauguration day. “We do not seek to impose our way of life on anyone, but rather to let it shine as an example. We will shine for everyone to follow.”

“The Bible tells us how good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity,” the president declared. “We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.”

“There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God,” President Trump concluded.

Now, you tell me how poor old Joe Biden is going to fare against Trump and his stalwart vision of America? If these Democrats running in 2020 think Americans will vote to return to Obama’s America, they are sadly mistaken. America doesn’t apologize for our greatness, for our goodness, or for our way of life. We are the shining city on the hill as Ronald Reagan said, we are the last best hope for mankind. And those Europeans should be thanking God and President Trump that America is back. The world is a safer place when America is strong.
