Enjoy.)Linda Ronstadt, the 1970s diva of rock n’ roll, made the ridiculous allegation that President Donald Trump is the “new Adolf Hitler and the Mexicans are the new Jews in 2020.” Ronstadt is the ex-girlfriend of former California Governor Jerry Brown. Her wild accusations against Trump went too far, and she got a huge reality check. You don’t want to miss this.
On Monday’s broadcast of CNN’s “The Lead,” 73-year-old singer Linda Ronstadt compared President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler during her interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper.
Ronstadt said, “Some of my family in Tucson are Republicans.”
She continued, “I have to be careful because we’ve had so much taken away from us by this administration that I’m not willing to let him take my family relationships away. The parts that were Republican were fairly rational Republicans. We don’t have that in that current White House.”
Cooper said, “I’ve read that you have read a lot about the Weimar Republic in Germany, and you sort of see parallels between then and now.”
Ronstadt said, “Great parallels. I mean the intelligentsia of Berlin and literati and all artists were just doing their thing, and as Hitler rose to power, there were a lot of chances to stop him, and they didn’t speak out. The industrial complex thought they could control him once they got him in office, and of course, he was not controllable. By the time he got established, he put his own people in place and stacked the courts and did what he had to do to consolidate his power, and we got Hitler. He destroyed Germany, destroyed centuries of intellectual history, forward and backward. People like Beethoven, Goethe, and Thomas Mann became jokes. They became Nazi laughing stocks.”
Cooper pushed, “I think a lot of people would be surprised to hear comparisons between what happened then and now.”
Ronstadt said, “If you read the history, you won’t be surprised. It is exactly the same. You find a common enemy for everybody to hate. I was sure that Trump was going to get elected the day he announced. I said he’s going to—it is going to be like Hitler and the Mexicans are the new Jews. And sure enough, that is what he delivered.”
Since when did the Jews break laws and cross over into Germany by the millions as illegal migrants? We also don’t recall the Jews dealing drugs in ruthless gangs and committing murders of Germans in an unprecedented way.
Ronstadt also needs a huge history lesson. The Weimer Republic catastrophe was tied to the economy. Most people know the Weimer Republic was Germany’s government right after World War I until Hitler took power. After Germany lost World War I, the allies sanctions caused a huge economic collapse. Hyperinflation set in as Germany printed too much money that became worthless. Famine was widespread with a loaf of bread costing 163 marks.
We agree Barack Obama did no favors to our economy, but last time we checked, a loaf of bread did not cost anywhere near 163 dollars.
That’s why Americans gave Linda Ronstadt a huge reality check she won’t ever forget.

Linda Ronstadt dated former Gov. Jerry Brown during his presidential campaign in 1979. She also dated Trump hater Jim Carrey for eight months in the early 1980s. Clearly, her taste in men runs to the hardcore left which is ironic since her brother is a staunch Republican who served as Tuscon, Arizona’s police chief.
It was revealed in 2013 that the iconic 1970s singer was suffering from Parkinson’s disease and could no longer sing. However, Ronstadt is also suffering from a bad case of Trump Derangement Syndrome like the rest of the Hollywood crowd. This delusion that the president is Adolf Hitler is not only ridiculous, but it’s also utterly indefensible.
Hitler came to power as Germans were literally starving after losing a World War. If Trump was Hitler, he would have stopped impeachment, and he would have already killed those who oppose him. Those idiots like Linda Ronstadt who make these tired accusations prove to Americans they are the threat to our government and our American way of life.
