Michelle Obama weighed in on the firestorm surrounding President Donald Trump and Rep. Ilhan Omar over the weekend. The former first lady claimed what makes America great is diversity and refugees and “there’s a place for us all.” That’s when Americans stepped in and made sure this didn’t end well for the former first lady. You”ll love this.

Michelle Obama has decided to weigh in on the huge firestorm surrounding Rep. Ilhan Omar and President Donald Trump in a veiled statement on Friday. The former first lady made the remarks right after the Minnesota Congresswoman landed in Minneapolis and trashed the president in a staged welcome home event.

“But the reality is [Trump] is threatened because we are inspiring people to dream about a country that recognizes our dignity and our humanity,” Omar told the crowd at the airport. “His nightmare is seeing the beautiful mosaic fabric of our country welcome someone like me as their member of Congress. We are going to continue being a nightmare to this president because his policies are a nightmare to us.”

That’s when Michelle decided to echo Omar. “What truly makes our country great is its diversity. I’ve seen that beauty in so many ways over the years. Whether we are born here or seek refuge here, there’s a place for us all. We must remember it’s not my America or your America. It’s our America,” tweeted the former first lady.

If you think the two statements sound similar, you’re not alone. This has been a Democratic tactic for years. Michelle is echoing Omar’s sentiments as a way to give her support and blast the president all at the same time.

Michelle is alluding to Trump’s call for members of the “Squad” – including Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN), who came to the U.S. as a refugee – to “go back and help fix the totally broken and crime-infested places from which they came” and “come back to show us how it is done,” reported Breitbart.

This isn’t a new theme for Michelle. Prior to introducing her husband, former President Barack Obama, at a political rally in Wisconsin in 2008, the former first lady infamously said, “For the first time in my adult life, I am proud of my country because it feels like hope is finally making a comeback”:

Recently, Ms. Obama also trashed Trump’s inauguration. She claimed the president’s inauguration crowd was “not reflective of the country.”

“Then to sort of sit at that inauguration and to look around at a crowd that was not reflective of the country,” Obama told Gayle King at Essence Fest in New Orleans last week. “It was just such the opposite.”

It’s all part of the Democrat plan to paint the president and his supporters as “racists” and “white nationalists.” It’ so pathetic, but that’s all they got. They can’t say the economy is bad. They can’t claim Trump’s endangered America with horrible foreign policy moves. The truth is they can’t explain why Americans shouldn’t re-elect Trump. So, they have to hammer him as a racist.

Americans let Michelle Obama know what really makes America great.

“No…what makes our country great is its constitutional republic form of government guaranteeing inalienable rights and liberty. Diversity is a side-effect…not a driving force,” tweeted Myra Allred.

“Diversity is nice, but in my world all men are created equal. When Obama’s showed up on the scene, it became all about race, which is really, really sad,” tweeted Twitter user “Jet.”

“Diversity has absolutely nothing to do with our greatness, our greatness comes from our freedom and the rule of law. Some of the most diverse places in the world are crap holes. If we are not careful will join the crap holes,” tweeted Rick Hutchinson.

Michelle Obama has been selling this same tired narrative for years. Most of us can remember before Barack Obama came onto the national scene and there wasn’t this fixation on race or racism. They want you to believe there is a large segment of Americans who are akin to the Nazis. That’s what they are selling.

White nationalists don’t makeup even 0ne percent of the population. They are fringe groups rejected by all Americans. That’s what makes this whole racism accusation so incredibly stupid.

However, if you listen to Rep. Omar or Michelle Obama, there must be millions of racists running around the country. In fact, if you voted for Trump, you’re a racist. Omar and her Democratic cohorts like Michelle have cried racism one time too many, and at the end of the day, the joke is on them.
