Enjoy.)Whoopi Goldberg and her cohorts on “The View” are back from their Christmas vacation, and immediately they went into meltdown mode attacking President Donald Trump’s stance on the government shutdown over the Southern border wall. The actress claimed Trump’s a billionaire, so he should just pay for the wall himself, adding that “real” Americans don’t want the wall at all. Well, Goldberg and her crew instantly regretted their words. You’ll love this.
As the government shutdown enters day 12, President Trump is standing strong and not giving an inch. House Leader Nancy Pelosi was threatening Wednesday to pass “rapid legislation” to re-open the government, but the president scoffed at that idea saying the partial shutdown will last “as long as it takes” to get the funding he wants, according to Fox News.
“We spend in Afghanistan more in one month than what we’re talking about for the wall,” Trump said. “The $5.6 billion is such a small number, literally, it’s one month in Afghanistan, and we’re talking about national security. This isn’t just a border, this is national security.”
That brings us to Whoopi Goldberg and her snarky remarks. When we last saw the 63-year-old comedian on The View, she was spouting all kinds of nonsense about President Trump paying for the wall since according to Goldberg, Americans don’t want it.
“[Trump] can open up that very fat wallet he talks about and start the ball rolling,” quipped Goldberg. “[Trump] can put 10% down, just 10% down because he is a construction guy and he can just get it built! I mean, how hard can it be for YOU to build the wall?” Whoopi said on December 12th.
Now, she is doubling down on her sarcastic remarks. “[Trump] said, ‘I’m a deal maker, I know how to make that happen.’ He’s a billionaire, I said this before on the show, he should start it off with a billion dollars,” Goldberg said, chuckling.
That’s when Joy Behar and Whoopi shouted over each other claiming Americans really aren’t on board with the wall, that’s why Trump should pay for it.
Sunny Hostin, Whoopi’s co-host and The View’s so-called legal analyst, said, “[Trump’s] really hurting people, Americans.” She went on to say she has two friends who aren’t getting paid due to the partial government shutdown and they were upset on “their vacations.”
“They were upset, and you know, what is this about the wall? [Trump’s] saying it’s going to prevent drugs, it’s going to prevent crime, it’s going to prevent disease,” said Hostin. “If you speak to economists, if you speak to all the statisticians, that is not true. None of those things bear out. So we’re just talking about pure politics, hurting real Americans.”
It’s amazing the shrews of The View can spout lies about the wall and get away with it. Of course, the wall will prevent drug trafficking, crimes, and diseases.
“Federal data show a far-less imposing wall than the one Trump envisions — a two-story corrugated metal fence first erected under the Bush administration — already has dramatically curtailed both illegal border crossings and crime in Texas’ sixth-largest city, which borders the high-crime Mexican city of Juarez,” reports the New York Post.
The majority of Americans want the
“RedSonja56” tweeted, “It is not a Trump wall. It is a wall for Americans. Legal immigration is one thing, coming in illegally is not acceptable and should not stand. Build the wall. End DACA now!”
“I would consider myself to be what you call a ‘real American’ and I’m not being hurt. As a matter of fact..I want the wall and if it takes a shut down then so be it! Dems want illegals for votes and don’t care about how many Americans are killed go them to get them,” tweeted Twitter user “Sherri.”
The Democrats were all for securing the border and building a wall a few short years ago. This is not a “Trump issue,” it’s an American issue. Yet, these dimwits over on The View suffer from selective memory and are constantly spewing lies.
You can’t have a country if you don’t have secure borders. The Southern border has been in crisis mode for years. Ask any American family who has lost a loved one due to an illegal alien if the border wall is needed. Ask Kate Steinle’s family if the border wall is a Trump issue.
It’s not about politics, it’s not about Trump, it’s about making sure our families are as safe as they can be, and a sound border wall is the answer real Americans are demanding from those we elected to Congress.
