Speaker Nancy Pelosi demanded a “fair process” for the Senate impeachment trial. Pelosi claims she’ll hold the articles of impeachment until she can be assured the Senate will hold a “fair” trial. Well, that’s when poor Nancy got a rude awakening you’re going to love. Don’t miss this.
Yesterday, the Democrats completed their three-year goal to impeach President Donald Trump. Speaker Pelosi instructed her cohorts to remain “somber” and “prayerful” as she tried to dupe Americans into believing the lie that they were not ecstatic over what they had done. Pelosi even told her female cohorts to wear “black” hoping to reflect their “somber” mood.
That was yesterday. Today, Nancy says she has a “spring in her step.”
“It really is interesting to see the response that we are getting, bipartisan, across party lines,” Pelosi told reporters during a Capitol Hill press conference on Thursday. “I, myself, want to say I have a spring in my step because of the moral courage of our caucus.”
Now, that’s just offensive. To claim the Democrats have “moral courage” is one of the biggest whoppers ole Nancy has ever told. However, she wasn’t finished making wild demands and claims.
“The next thing for us will be when we see the process that is set forth in the Senate. Then we’ll know the number of managers that we may have to go forward and who we would choose,” Pelosi added. “But, in any event, we’re ready, when we see what [the Senate has] we will know who and how many we will send over.”
Pelosi also threatened to withhold submitting the two articles of impeachment to the Senate. She is hoping to stall the Senate impeachment trial.

After watching Pelosi ramrod a bogus impeachment through the House, Madam Speaker got a rude awakening.
Sen. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said Pelosi’s threats are “incredibly dangerous” and her plan to power grab ignores the separations of power statute.
“Just think for a moment, you pass articles of impeachment in the House, you refuse to send them into the Senate until the Senate constructs a trial of your liking as Speaker of the House,” Graham said. “We have separations of power for a reason. You can’t be Speaker of the House and Majority Leader of the Senate at the same time.”

Prior to Pelosi’s press conference, the man now in charge, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) denounced the impeachment vote and blasted the speaker for being “too afraid” to send “their shoddy work product to the Senate.”
“The framers built the Senate to provide stability,” McConnell said in a Senate floor speech. “To keep partisan passions from boiling over. Moments like this are why the United States Senate exists.”
That’s right. Nancy has zero power, now.
Even if she holds the articles of impeachment in Adam Schiff’s basement bunker, it’s not going to stop the Senate. Every Constitutional attorney worth their weight agrees.
“Pelosi thinks that holding the articles of impeachment somehow gives her leverage to control how the Senate trial is conducted. But McConnell would probably rather chew gum and confirm judges and keep accomplishing his agenda rather than waste valuable time dealing with an impeachment that has zero chance of resulting in Trump’s removal from office. Pelosi’s threat simply has no weight,” The Federalist reports.
If Adam Schiff’s work on this impeachment was so slam-dunk, Pelosi would be running to the Senate to deliver the articles of impeachment.
“If House Democrats had done their job properly and brought real articles of impeachment to a vote, they wouldn’t just have some Republican support, they could proudly deliver those articles of impeachment with a bow on the same day they voted on them,” The Federalist adds.
They want more witnesses called because they know that they didn’t do their job even remotely well. It shows a cavalier approach to impeachment. There’s nothing Pelosi can do. She has no leverage.
What happened to the Democrats claiming “Trump is an urgent threat” and that’s why we must hurry to impeach him?
Democrats’ defense of their bogus impeachment effort was that they had to rush through things in order to get Trump removed before the 2020 election. They claimed Trump was such an “urgent threat” to American national security and the Constitution that he had to be charged and removed from office post-haste.
That was never a particularly strong argument, but Pelosi’s attempt to indefinitely delay any resolution of the impeachment effort she rammed through the House shows it was an argument that her own party didn’t even believe.
This impeachment is the culmination of a three-year refusal of Democrats to accept the results of the 2016 election. For all the accusations that Trump is destroying vital American norms and institutions, it is the continued refusal of Democrats, media, and Never-Trump activists to accept the results of an election they lost that represents the gravest threat to our system of government.
