Barack and Michelle Obama are set to produce a Netflix “comedy series” based on an anti-Trump book that portrays the Trump administration as bumblers who have no idea “how government works.” This will not only disparage the Trump family but also any American who voted for the president. Well, Americans are already making sure the Obamas regret this.
Barack and Michelle Obama are set to produce a Netflix sketch comedy series expected to be “loosely based on an anti-Trump book that portrays the chaos that reportedly erupted after President Trump won the 2016 election,” Just the News reports.
The former first couple acquired the rights to author Michael Lewis’ book “The Fifth Risk” in 2018.
“Very happy to finally be able to share this news: I’m creating a new comedy series for Netflix about the federal government. It’s called The G Word, and I can’t wait to share it with you,” Adam Conover wrote in response to the Deadline story.

Calling this book “non-fiction” might be a stretch depending on who you talk to in regards to the Trump administration’s 2017 transition. The entire premise of this book comes off like a Washington, DC insider making fun of a man, Donald Trump, who got elected president but had no experience in government.
Trump’s crime, according to Lewis’s book, is getting elected. The American people put their trust in Donald Trump as an outsider — that’s one of the big reasons he got elected. So, to these Washington, DC insiders, it’s hilarious Trump had no experience.
Here’s a synopsis of the book:
The government manages a vast array of critical services that keep us safe and underpin our lives, from ensuring the safety of our food and medications and predicting extreme weather events to tracking and locating black-market uranium before the terrorists do. The Fifth Risk masterfully and vividly unspools the consequences of what happens when the people given control over our government have no idea how it works.
This is only a problem if those who have worked in government for decades decide to try to make it difficult for an outsider to govern. Anyone with a modicum of intelligence can learn to run government agencies. Making it a difficult transition only points to the sheer arrogance of the swamp creatures.
Do the Obamas really think Americans will approve of this new production? Well, if they did, they thought wrong as patriots weighed in on social media.
“We could always sue him & media for attacking/defaming our President, for harming U.S. national security, and for pain and suffering caused by our having to labor to overcome the above harms and protecting our President against foreign and domestic online & media attacks,” tweeted one fed-up Twitter user.

“When they struck a deal with Netflix, it said ‘The Obamas are intent on avoiding any material that could inflame tensions.’ Their production company is ironically called Higher Ground. When they go low, we dig deeper,” tweeted another.

“I pray corruption within the deep state is exposed on every side. Up, down, all around. That the ways of the ‘wise’ become FOOLISH when more truth is revealed,” yet another tweeted.

The series, set to go into production in 2021, will feature comedy “mixed with documentary elements,” according to Deadline.
“The streamer has ordered The G Word with Adam Conover, which will go inside the machine of government and introduce viewers to the civil servants who make it work,” Deadline reported. “It will ask whether government is a dirty word or a trusted institution.”
Their first Netflix documentary, American Factory, aired in 2019 and was considered an attack on Trump. So, with this new series as another attack on the president, it sure seems like the Obamas have Donald Trump living rent-free in their heads.
You’d think they’d move on and spend their valuable time and money on something that would really benefit those they claim to care so much about, the poor and disenfranchised. This is just another pathetic attempt at revenge, and the Obamas aren’t even trying to hide their utter contempt for the millions of Americans who elected Trump in 2016 and even more who voted for him again in 2020.
