AOC Ignores NYPD Officer Killed In Her District, Americans Give Reality Check

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is ignoring New York Police Officer Brian Mulkeen, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in her district. Instead, AOC is really busy spreading wild accusations about President Donald Trump. Well, fed-up Americans blasted the 29-year-old former bartender and gave her a big reality check about her duties as a Congresswoman. Don’t miss this.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez can’t be seen giving her condolences to the family of NYPD Officer Brian Mulkeen, who was killed in the line of duty in the Bronx. Nope, AOC wouldn’t be caught dead giving anyone in law enforcement any sympathy or credit.

Isn’t that part of her job representing the Bronx? Sure it is. It’s a no-brainer.

Brian Mulkeen, a 33-year-old member of The Bronx Anti-Crime Unit, was investigating gang activity, including recent shootings with two other officers at about 12:30 a.m. Sunday, NYPD said.

The officers got out of their vehicle to question a man, who then fled, and the officers gave chase. As the officers tried to apprehend the suspect, a violent struggle on the ground began, NYPD Chief of Department Terence Monahan previously announced.

In body-worn camera, Mulkeen can be heard yelling, “He’s reaching for it! He’s reaching for it!” Monahan said. Mulkeen fired five rounds and his partners fired 10 rounds, two of which struck Mulkeen. Police previously said Mulkeen was hit three times, but one of the wounds was “an in and out wound.”

AOC’s district is so riddled with gang activity including two recent shootings of two other police officers that the NYPD sent Mulkeen’s unit into her district to stem the tide.

“There is no worse a moment in our profession than this,” NYPD Commissioner James O’Neill said in a statement. “Please keep Brian’s family and colleagues in your thoughts.”

Ocasio-Cortez can’t be bothered to honor the fallen officer or his family. Or even re-tweet one of the many messages of sympathy. That just doesn’t get her on national TV. Nope, she’s keeping to a tight schedule of rolling out phase two of her Green New Deal and also accusing President Donald Trump of crazy unproven allegations.

Americans gave AOC a reality check on this NYPD officer and doing her job.

“A NYPD officer was killed in the line of duty in your district today. Where’s your outrage Tweet?” posted Twitter user “Katica.”

Did you send condolences to #BrianMulkeen in the last 24 hours? Isn’t the life of our own: a Bronx NYPD Officer Killed in the Line of Duty, someone you should be concerned with? You seem concerned with every issue except those in your own backyard. WHO ARE YOU REPRESENTING?” tweeted John Cummings, who is running against AOC.

@AOC why haven’t you made a statement regarding the @NYPDnews and #nypd officer shot and killed in the line of duty in your home city? Are you that worried about offending your base that you don’t tweet about this horrible situation in the Bronx?” tweeted Edward Elwell.

AOC’s been working on really important stuff like her new “Just Society,” which is utter nonsense.

The former bartender was busy rolling out a new platform, the Just Society legislative package. The proposal includes five bills and one resolution. Its goal is to “build a just society to protect our communities and uplift our neighbors” and do so by “combat[ing] the greatest threats to our country, our democracy, and our planet: economic inequality and climate change.”

“The socialist congresswoman has said she thinks the poverty line should be as high as $38,000 in annual salary. This would triple poverty overnight, classifying many working-class, self-sufficient Americans as if they were in dire need of government intervention,” Washington Examiner reports.

Besides, the poverty line doesn’t even indicate whether or not someone is actually living in poverty because it doesn’t count government benefits. So AOC is saying that someone earning nearly $40,000 before any government benefits should be classified as “poor,” and, likely in her mind, thus entitled to even more handouts.

Next, she moves to punish businesses that don’t comply with her socialist vision for society.

Her final bill would instruct the Department of Labor to prioritize the awarding of federal contracts to companies that have paid maternity leave, a $15 minimum wage, and so on. Apparently, asserting government control over private business practices is more important than, say, being a responsible steward of taxpayer money and awarding contracts to the most efficient, least expensive bidder.

AOC is not only ignorant about how our government works, but she is also a big fraud when it comes to caring about her own constituents.

The airhead socialist could learn a lot about public servants from the fallen-hero Officer Brian Mulkeen. “The NYPD’s motto, Fidelis Ad Mortem, is Latin for ‘Faithful Unto Death.’ That’s what it means. And this is what it looks like,” tweeted NYPD Chief Dermot F. Shea.

Ocasio-Cortez has no clue most Americans see her as a self-absorbed brat who feels she is owed stuff from our government. She couldn’t fathom what it takes to really serve our country in the military or law enforcement. Terms like self-sacrifice, a code of honor, or going to work every day knowing you may be called to lay down your life, in service to America, is something AOC has no understanding of.

Serving in Congress means you are “serving” those who elected you. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s only goal is to serve herself, and those in her district are starting to wake-up.
