Ilhan Omar is lamenting she was part of the “debt generation” and claiming she has certain “rights.” No, not the kind of rights the Founding Fathers envisioned. Omar declared she has a “right” to own a home, a business, and have the government pay off her student loans. In fact, Omar admitted she ran for Congress, in part, to get our government to pay off her student debt. That’s when Americans blasted Omar and her ridiculous remarks. You’ll love this.
Ilhan Omar has no idea her interpretation of what rights Americans have, based on our Constitution, is entirely wrong. The Minnesota Congresswoman is engulfed by socialist rhetoric, and even then, she goes so far to the left in her thinking it’s almost psychotic.
We don’t say that lightly. By definition, psychotic thinking is so impaired that contact is lost with external reality.
Omar introduced legislation in June that would cancel upward of $1.6 trillion in student debt, forgiving outstanding federal and private student loans. If passed, the Student Debt Cancellation Act of 2019 is estimated to cost taxpayers $2.2 trillion over a decade, and it would cancel out her own debt.
“I am one of 45 million [Americans who owe student debt] and it has been part of my journey and one of the reasons that drove me to run for office,” Omar said while appearing on a BET News Town Hall. “I also have a daughter — not only do I have student debt, but I have a daughter that is going to college in two years and so the realness of this burden that we all feel shackled with has been real for me.”
Omar was just getting warmed up.
“As someone who is part of the debt generation, I wanted to make sure that we were creating a proposal that would alleviate the kind of stress that people are dealing with, so what we are proposing is a simple cancellation of all debt, public and private,” Omar said of the proposed legislation. She further added that the program would be paid for by adding “a small financial transaction to speculators on Wall Street.”
“We believe that we had the opportunity to bail out Wall Street,” she continued. “And now Wall Street gets the opportunity to bail out the American people.”
Omar, who obtained a bachelor’s degree from North Dakota State University in 2011, owes between $15,001 and $50,000 in student loans, according to Congressional filings. Interestingly, even though her wages rose to $174,000 after she was elected to Congress, she has still not paid off the debt.
Why should she? Isn’t it a “right” to get your debts paid off by the government?
“I am one of the people who are unable to purchase the home that they wanted to,” Omar said at the town hall. “I am one of the people that are putting off the right, the dream to own that business, to create the kind of investment they want in the future that they want to have.”
This is the new Democrats philosophy. Everyone living in America, even illegal migrants, have “rights” to free healthcare, free education, free housing, and in fact, they are owed it. Omar isn’t part of the “debt generation,” she part of the “entitlement generation.”
Let’s be crystal clear when it comes to Ilhan Omar, or should we call her by real name Ilhan Nur Said Elmi, according to many investigative reports.
Even though Ilhan has a five-figured debt, it’s not slowing her down at all. She has reportedly moved into a luxury penthouse apartment in one of Minneapolis’ trendiest districts since her paycheck increased, according to The Daily Mail. Her apartment is reported to cost more than $2,800 per month, and the three-bedroom unit includes a “movable granite island, built-in wine rack and stainless steel pot racks in its high-end kitchen.”
Nice digs for the squad member who is crying about her debts.
“This idea that we are supposed to get an education to jump-start a life and have a pathway to success has not been one that has been guaranteed to most of us,” Omar said.
Guaranteed to us? That’s another example of that psychotic thinking. Nothing in this life is “guaranteed.” She sounds like an entitled brat.
“That comes with lots of stress and so for my family, for my husband, it has been a real challenge to look at how much we’re bringing in — before getting to Congress — and to see the amount of money that we have to write to pay off our student loan debt every single month,” said Ilhan.
That’s called “life.” The stress of paying bills is part of being a grown-up.
Americans also found Ilhan Omar’s whining about her debts and stress ridiculous.

Conservative Professor Thomas Sowell, who is an African-American economist and social theorist, has one or two things to say to someone like Ilhan Omar:
One of these words is “entitlement.” To hear some politicians tell it, we are all entitled to all sorts of things, ranging from “affordable housing” to “a living wage.”
But the reality is that the human race is not entitled to anything, not even the food we need to stay alive. If we don’t produce food, we are just going to starve. If we don’t build housing, then we are not going to have housing, “affordable” or otherwise.
Particular individuals or groups can be given many things, to which politicians say they are “entitled,” only if other people are forced by the government to provide those things to people who don’t need to lift a finger to earn them.
All the fancy talk about “entitlement” means simply forcing some people to work to produce things for other people, who have no obligation to work.
Sowell brilliantly sums up the problem with Ilhan Omar’s psychotic entitlement syndrome. She may be fooling some of the brainwashed leftwing nutjobs in America, but she isn’t fooling the silent majority of patriotic Americans who see right through her sad little act of radical socialist propaganda and rhetoric.
