Rep. Adam Schiff was extremely agitated as he gave an impromptu press conference on Capitol Hill today. All witnesses refused to show up to his bogus impeachment inquiry this morning which left Schiff so angry when he spoke to reporters, he made a huge mistake. Acting as the “chief prosecutor,” Schiff slipped up admitting his “end game” to these bogus impeachment hearings. Well, he got a real reality check. You’ll love this.
We all know Schiff and his cohorts aren’t investigating anything. They are using the hearings as a ruse. Their impeachment goal was started just 19 minutes after Trump got inaugurated as evidenced by the Washington Post article dated January 20, 2017, titled “The campaign to impeach President Trump has begun,” which is timestamped 12:19 EST.
Chief Prosecutor Schiff, a snarky title Trump supporters are using to reflect the fact he has not been given the power to prosecute anyone let alone the president, made a huge mistake today. Loving the limelight, Schiff rushed out to give an impromptu press conference after all of his scheduled witnesses were no shows.
“As has been the case with other witnesses who have done the same thing, this will be further evidence by this administration to obstruct the lawful duties of Congress, ” Schiff said. “This will only add to the body of evidence of further charge against the president.”
Schiff went on to say the “Nixon impeachment” was based on this “obstruction of Congress” charge. What Schiff isn’t telling you is with the Nixon impeachment, Richard Nixon had been under a criminal investigation. Trump has not been found guilty of anything.
In fact, the Department of Justice already ruled the Ukraine phone call did not rise to anything criminal. “Relying on established procedures set forth in the Justice Manual, the Department’s Criminal Division reviewed the official record of the call and determined, based on the facts and applicable law, that there was no campaign finance violation and that no further action was warranted,” reads the DOJ statement.
The articles of impeachment, which many insiders say have already been written by Schiff’s anti-Trump attorneys, will be (1) abuse of power and (2) obstruction of justice.
You can’t obstruct justice if there is no crime. However, where Schiff really slipped up was when he gave away the main charge the Democrats will be attempting to prove to impeach Trump.
“The heart of this investigation that is the president’s abuse of his office to coerce an ally [Ukraine] who is fighting off, in our national security interests, they are fighting off the Russians in their interests as well, to withhold vital military support to that nation, to withhold the vital meeting with the president of that nation, as leverage to get that nation to engage in the corrupt act of these investigations they president believed would help his re-election campaign,” Schiff said today.
“We are looking at allegations there may have been efforts to cover up these activities, so the witnesses that bear most directly with those issues are the witnesses we want to bring in,” Schiff added.
So, this all comes down to the Democrats’ accusation that Trump abused the power of the presidency to “coerce” Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky by withholding aid to Ukraine to help the Russians.
Well, Schiff is going to have a real problem proving abuse of power.
There was a president who refused to aid Ukraine, and his name is Barack Hussien Obama. In 2014, after Russia annexed Crimea and began arming separatists in eastern Ukraine with tanks, armored vehicles, and rocket launchers, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko came to Washington to plead for weapons to defend his country,” the New York Post reports.
In an impassioned address to a joint session of Congress — with Biden sitting directly behind him — Poroshenko said his country appreciated the nonlethal assistance he was getting, but declared “one cannot win a war with blankets.”
The Obama-Biden administration was unmoved. The Wall Street Journal reported at the time that “President Barack Obama stuck to his refusal to provide weapons or other lethal military gear to Ukraine.” Why? Barack Obama was scared of Vladimir Putin. It was Obama, not Trump, who helped Russia. Obama abandoned Ukraine. Why wasn’t Adam Schiff raising hell about that?
When Trump took office, he delivered a message of strength. In December 2017, the new administration announced that the United States would send the lethal aid to Ukraine that Poroshenko requested and Obama and Biden refused — the sale of $47 million worth of Javelin antitank missiles.
In May 2018, after Ukraine tested its new Javelin missiles, Poroshenko exulted on Twitter “Finally this day has come!” and personally thanked Trump “for supporting Ukraine and adopting a decision to provide Javelin antitank missile systems.”
Victor Davis Hansen, a noted historian, excoriated the Democrats and their so-called whistleblower Lieutenant Colonel Vindman.
Whistleblowers are Mavericks. They come forward they get in the light of day, they make accusations or charges or revelations and they take the heat. And this person hasn’t done any of that.
But what the whistleblower – I can’t understand and it’s incoherent, the whistleblower and Lieutenant Colonel Vindman have made three or four implicit charges that Trump was too easy on the Russians, he was too hard on the Ukrainians. [Vindman] mixed the personal and the professional. He had a quid pro quo.
But they were in the White House— in case of the whistleblower Lieutenant Colonel Vindman was in foreign service— why didn’t they say from 2011 and onward? Why didn’t they say the Obama administration will not arm the Ukrainians? Trump did that.
Why don’t they say appeasement is reset? Trump risk a war with Russians and Syria. He killed 200 mercenaries. He canceled a missile bill. He’s been the hardest person on Putin that we’ve seen in the last 20 years.
Adam Schiff wants you to believe President Trump abused his power as president during that Ukraine phone call. He wants you to believe his partisan hack leakers, not whistleblowers, claim to have some insider knowledge Trump was doing something other than what all presidents do, setting foreign policy.
When Obama denied Ukraine assistance to appease Putin and Russia, that was his prerogative as president. None of these so-called “patriots,” as Schiff calls them, came forward to warn Americans that Obama was sucking up to Putin back then. So, why are doing it now?
Trump did not deny Ukraine aid. That was Obama. The aid Schiff is referring to was delivered to Ukraine a few weeks after the Zelensky call. Regardless, Trump has every right, as did Obama, to refuse aid to foreign governments.
The Democrats have the numbers to impeach the president, and they probably will. All Americans have a right to know the truth. The right response to this injustice is for the American people to send every Democrat packing in 2020 and re-elect Trump in a landslide. Send the message We the People refuse to lose our great Republic to the real criminals who are attempting to steal it right on Capitol Hill.
