Enjoy.)The last day of Adam Schiff’s public impeachment hearings is going so bad that the big rumor on Capitol Hill is Nancy Pelosi is seriously thinking about stopping impeachment in favor of just issuing a “censure” of President Donald Trump. One big reason has to do with this morning’s witness Fiona Hill, who is flaming out after she was exposed in this flip-flopping scam. You’ll love this.
One of the biggest lies being sold to Americans is this theory that Ukraine is this country we must defend at all costs. Schiff is hoping his witnesses, who are all unelected bureaucrats and part of the deep state who reject everything President Trump represents, will convince you the president denied aid to Ukraine for “personal gain.”
Former U.S. Prosecutor Andy McCarthy describes this Ukraine fantasy the Democrats have been selling you: “You’ve heard a fairy tale about Ukraine — progressive, oriented toward Europe, committed to human rights, longing for Western pluralism. It’s the story Democrats, progressive Republicans, and LTC Vindman’s vaunted ‘policy community’ have successfully peddled for five years.”
“Once you buy the story, you’re predisposed to think it inconceivable that Donald Trump could withhold desperately needed military aid from Kyiv as it nobly struggles against the bully next door that is gobbling up its eastern flank — aid that, by the way, he ended up giving them, aid the military value of which, in the Trump administration, has been significantly stepped up from what it was in the Obama years,” McCarthy adds.
Which brings us to Fiona Hill, who is the Democrats’ star witness for today.
“Dr. Fiona Hill told the impeachment inquiry Thursday that she was concerned that a hold on aid might endanger Ukraine’s security. But in a 2015 Washington Post op-ed, Hill argued against giving Ukraine any lethal weapons,” Breitbart reports.
Hill said she was concerned about Ukraine’s security and stability as it defended itself against Russia. In that context, she — and others — were worried about a hold on security. But Hill also had to admit that she co-authored an op-ed in 2015, when she was working at the left-wing Brookings Institution think tank, in which she opposed sending weapons to help Ukraine.
In her article, titled “How aiding the Ukrainian military could push Putin into a regional war,” Hill argued (emphasis added):
The logic of sending weapons to Ukraine seems straightforward and is the same as the logic for economic sanctions: to change Vladimir Putin’s “calculus.” Increasing the Ukrainian army’s fighting capacity, the thinking goes, would allow it to kill more rebels and Russian soldiers, generating a backlash in Russia and ultimately forcing the Russian president to the negotiating table.

It is hard to find effective alternatives to the current sanctions policy, but if we plunge headlong into sending weapons, we may lose our allies, and we may never have the opportunity to get things right.
So, the truth is President Trump’s skepticism of Ukraine has been a long-standing policy going back to the Obama Administration. Fiona Hill’s glaring “flip-flop” only makes the Democrats, and all their witnesses, appear like liars.
They conjured up this fantasy of Ukraine as McCarthy describes and are selling it to the American people hoping to dupe you into believing Trump’s motivations for questioning Ukraine was solely routed in some twisted personal need to investigate the Bidens.
Schiff and his Democrat cohorts can’t have it both ways.
If putting a hold on lethal aid to Ukraine is this big, bad, horrendous impeachable offense, then why did they all sit idly by as Barack Obama refused to give Ukraine any lethal aid at all?
None of these witnesses, who were all working for the State Department when Obama refused to give Ukraine lethal aid, said one peep against the former president.
It’s sure is looking like this latest impeachment scam was started by a bunch of career bureaucrats together with the Democrat Party.
Adam Schiff interrupted Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman’s testimony during an impeachment hearing Tuesday and cited an effort to protect a whistleblower.
“It looks like an inside job of a bunch of career bureaucrats getting together and saying, ‘We’ve wanted to impeach this guy for three years. How do we do it? Oh wait, I think we’ve found a way,’” Michael Anton, a former National Security Council (NSC) spokesman, said on Wednesday.
“It just looks phony, and that’s what they’re trying to avoid coming out,” he added.
“I think the reason they don’t want him to say it is not so much to protect the whistleblower’s identity, whoever it is, it’s to protect the phony veneered process that they used to get this impeachment hearing going,” Anton said.
As we have been reporting since the whistleblower first came forward, this smelled like another coup attempt. Now, it’s obvious it was orchestrated by unelected deep state bureaucrats who despise President Trump for taking away their power to do whatever they want with foreign policy and aided by the biggest Trump-hater of all, Adam Schiff.
Their scam has been exposed. 63 million Americans elected Trump to drain the swamp, and this is just the swamp’s last-ditch effort to stay in power. It’s time to stop these phony hearings and make Congress get back to doing the business of the American people.
