Barbra Streisand is trashing President Donald Trump and making wild accusations about Barack Obama and his Iran nuclear deal. “Trump once again lies and obsesses about President Obama, whose legacy he’ll never live up to,” the leftwing singer said. “Iran wasn’t given our money but [Obama] sent them their own frozen assets.” Well, not only is Babs wrong, but she also got an epic smackdown. Don’t miss this.
Barbra Streisand has claimed that President Donald Trump has an obsession with the legacy of former President Barack Obama, one which she says he will never live up to. She also claimed Obama didn’t give Iran taxpayer dollars, he only gave them back their “own frozen assets.”
Streisand made the comments in response to a Washington Post article about how Trump claimed that Barack Obama’s nuclear deal with Iran had given them access to billions of dollars that funded Tehran’s retaliatory attacks against U.S. military bases on Tuesday evening following the assassination of Iranian terror chief Qasem Soleimani.
“Iran’s hostilities substantially increased after the foolish Iran nuclear deal was signed in 2013, and they were given $150 billion, not to mention $1.8 billion in cash,” Trump said in an address from the White House.
“Instead of saying thank you to the United States, they chanted ‘Death to America,’” he continued. “Then Iran went on a terror spree funded by the money from the deal and created hell in Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, Afghanistan, and Iraq.”
Streisand claims Trump is obsessing over Obama’s legacy, and she says Barack did not give Iran any of our taxpayer money.
“Trump once again lies and obsesses about President Obama, whose legacy he’ll never live up to,” the Hollywood leftist wrote. “Iran wasn’t given our money but sent their own frozen assets, and the amount is a fraction of what Trump claims.”

Well, poor Babs is delusional. She’s spouting outright lies and leftwing talking points.
Barack Obama did give Iran a $150 billion dollar windfall, including $400 million in cash sent stacked on wooden pallets on a plane. “President Barack Obama approved the $400 million transfer, which he had announced in January as part of the Iran nuclear deal. The money was flown into Iran on wooden pallets stacked with Swiss francs, euros and other currencies,” CNN reports.
The nuke deal also lifted economic sanctions, thus freeing $150 billion in fresh capital—which even Obama’s Secretary of State John Kerry agreed could fuel military and terrorist activities. “I think that some of [the money] will end up in the hands of the IRGC or other entities, some of which are labeled terrorists,” Kerry said in 2016.
Despite Obama’s repeated claims that the deal would prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear weapon, Iran never saw it that way. “We did not agree to dismantle anything,” Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told CNN in January 2014, while negotiations were in progress.
Zarif also claimed Obama was mischaracterizing the intention of the deal. “The White House tries to portray it as basically a dismantling of Iran’s nuclear program. That is the word they use time and again,” Zarif said on the deal during the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
When the deal was finally official, we had a deal Iran never intended to keep, was unenforceable anyway, and yet Iran got a windfall of billions at the expense of the safety and security of the United States and our Middle East allies.
Americans also sounded off on Streisand’s lies and ridiculous remarks.
“Good grief I hope he does not live up to Osama Obama’s legacy. Bathhouse Barry Soetoro, as he was known, almost destroyed our nation. Trump is restoring and correcting his mistakes. No American should emulate Osama Obama’s legacy,” tweeted Charles King.

“Why would #Trump want to live up to or follow the worst President in US history? High unemployment, high taxes, industry leaving the country, terrorism on the rise, socialism, what was so great about failure #Streisand?” tweeted Alan Stump.

“You are correct Barbra Streisand! President Trump will not be known as a President who hates America like Obama did! He will not turn his back on the Military, Law Enforcement nor the Citizens of America like Obama did! Thank you for pointing that out to Americans!” tweeted “Donald.”

Barack Obama’s Iran nuke deal was one of the biggest gaffes ever in United States foreign policy.
Anyone saying something different either has no idea what they are talking about, or they refuse to do their own research solely relying on leftwing propaganda. In fact, Barack Obama left President Trump with a real mess in the Middle East. The Obama regime created ISIS, emboldened Iran, and left our military in harm’s way.
Uneducated Hollywood celebrities have no business lecturing Americans on anything. Unfortunately, when it comes to complicated matters like the Middle East and foreign policy, Barbra Streisand is in way over her head. Just because someone can carry a tune doesn’t make them experts in the complicated world of Islamic extremists and United States foreign relations.
