Trump supporters were confused on Sunday after Trump attorney Jenna Ellis released this statement: “Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”
Confusion over Powell’s status, and the Trump campaign’s clear attempt to distance themselves from her, came after Republican lawmakers and Fox News host Tucker Carlson exerted pressure on Trump’s legal team to prove their voter fraud allegations, according to The Blaze.
On Sunday, even former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, a staunch Trump ally, called Trump’s legal team and their unsubstantiated claims of voter fraud a “national embarrassment.”
Americans immediately voiced support of Sidney Powell and treated her like a true American hero.

Sidney Powell’s aid, Molly McCann, gave an insider’s perspective.
“Finally, don’t get caught up in the silly headlines that suggest that any kind of tension in the Trump team or amongst Trump allies is unusual and proof our efforts are spiraling,” she writes. “That’s ridiculous. If you buy into that, you need to take a breath and reflect on your own life and relationships and then re-read some history. Occasional tension among people is natural—from your own home to allied political figures throughout history.”

Sidney Powell released a powerful statement to We the People:
I agree with the campaign’s statement that I am not part of the campaign’s legal team. I never signed a retainer agreement or sent the President or the campaign a bill for my expenses or fees.
My intent has always been to expose all the fraud I could find and let the chips fall where they may–whether it be upon Republicans or Democrats.
The evidence I’m compiling is overwhelming that this software tool was used to shift millions of votes from President Trump and other Republican candidates to Biden and other Democrat candidates. We are proceeding to prepare our lawsuit and plan to file it this week. It will be epic.
We will not allow this great Republic to be stolen by communists from without and within or our votes altered or manipulated by foreign actors in Hong Kong, Iran, Venezuela, or Serbia, for example, who have neither regard for human life nor the people who are the engine of this exceptional country.

Rob Schmitt on Newsmax also weighed in: “I don’t know what to make of it. Like you said and like we just said, she has a tremendous career as a federal prosecutor, had her own private practice. Do I actually think Sidney Powell at her age after her career is going to go out there and just start spouting conspiracy theories? I don’t. I just don’t see that happening.”
Sidney Powell isn’t getting paid by the Trump campaign. Her motives are truly patriotic, and what she claims about the Dominion Voting Systems should not be pushed aside without taking a closer look.
The only reason Sidney Powell is taking on this task is to protect our Republic from what could turn out to be the biggest election fraud in our nation’s history, in my opinion. She isn’t doing it for cash or to make a name for herself. She has everything to lose. So, the least we can do is recognize her bravery and pray that she is protected from evil as she endeavors to restore our election integrity.
