Goldberg wrongly thought Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment farce is being held “by the book” and is totally lawful. Goldberg and Abby Huntsman told former Speaker Newt Gingrich he would be doing “exactly what Nancy is doing” today. That’s when Gingrich schooled Whoopi on “lawful” impeachment proceedings and Goldberg totally lost her mind. You’ll love this.
The outright ignorance of Whoopi Goldberg and the shrews of The View is astounding. Goldberg, 63, should recall not only Bill Clinton’s impeachment hearings, but she also should have a good deal of knowledge about Richard Nixon’s 1974 impeachment.
Abby Huntsman is just plain ridiculous, and Sunny Hostin is supposed to be an attorney. Yet, as Newt Gingrich sat in for Joy Behar on the ABC talk show yesterday, none of them had any clue about what impeachment is or how it works.
Newt schooled Goldberg and the shrews on impeachment, and Whoopi lost her mind.
Huntsman began by pointing out that Gingrich had once occupied House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s seat. “You did go down the impeachment road,” she said. “If you were Nancy today and you had a president that did exactly what Trump did that was a Democrat, what would you do?”
“Well, first of all, I’m sitting here trying to be Joy and now you want me to be Nancy. All I can tell you is this is getting to be a pretty heavy load to carry psychologically,” Gingrich laughed. “But there are two big differences.”
Former Speaker Gingrich pointed out the glaring differences between lawful impeachment proceedings and the crazy clown show Nancy Pelosi and Adam Schiff are holding down in the basement of the Capitol. Gingrich reminded them there had been a Special Counsel investigation on Clinton’s actions and they found him guilty on 11 counts.
That is what sparked the discussion of impeaching Bill Clinton back in 1998. Gingrich also pointed out Pelosi had nothing even close to that. The Mueller investigation report did not use the word “guilty” anywhere, Newt said. “I think had Speaker Pelosi referred the Ukrainian phone call to a special counsel, they could do a lot of things,” he added, trying to sound diplomatic.
The former Speaker also mentioned sending someone to interview former Democratic House Judiciary Committee Chairman Peter Rodino, who spearheaded the Nixon impeachment inquiry, in order to ensure that the process was fair.
“Rodino had a set of rules that were very bipartisan, and we brought them back and implemented exactly what Rodino did,” Gingrich explained. “Today, the White House doesn’t have a lawyer in these hearings. Secretary Pompeo’s staff went into a hearing, he has no lawyer there, has no idea what they’re saying.”
The camera panned to Goldberg who looked shocked. Apparently, she had no idea the Democrats were denying American citizens any legal representation at their impeachment farce.
“Sounds like you would do similar to what Nancy is doing,” Huntsman pressed, totally oblivious about what Gingrich had just explained to them.
“No,” Gingrich fired back immediately. “Because what she is doing, A, she has no referral that says he’s guilty of anything. B, she’s not following rules that are fair. She has no rules here which are fair which allow the person being accused to face their accuser.”
Huntsman, unfazed by the Soviet-style kangaroo court Gingrich described, tried again. “You admit that it’s an abuse of power though, right, what he did on the phone call?” she asked.
Gingrich pushed back, saying that he had re-read the transcript again in anticipation of that question and did not believe it was.
“Then what is? When I think about a president’s role, if you call a foreign president and you ask them to investigate your opponent in a presidential race —” Huntsman began.
Sunny Hostin interjected: “And look into the DNC server as well.” Hostin thinks to look into the 2016 DNC server that was never examined by any law enforcement agency in the United States is somehow an “abuse of power?” Wow, and she is the so-called attorney on the show.
“No, I’m actually curious, if that’s not abuse of power, what is?” Huntsman said looking like an utter fool.
“It is exactly what Hillary Clinton’s campaign did,” Gingrich shot back. “Notice the difference. The Clinton campaign paid to create a dossier —”
Well, that’s when Goldberg, who had been shocked by Gingrich’s revelations, lost her mind.
“Hillary — y’all are — tried her, you beat her. She’s not the president. The man who’s the president broke the law,” Whoopi Goldberg insisted.
“He didn’t break the law. He did not —” Gingrich tried to respond but Goldberg wasn’t going to allow him to damage the Democrat’s impeachment farce further. Whoopi knew Gingrich’s points had merit, and she couldn’t allow their brainwashed audience to actually hear the truth.
Goldberg cut him off, saying, “We’re not going to let you spin,” as she rudely twirled around in her chair and called for a commercial break.
Americans also weighed in on Whoopi’s meltdown.
“Too bad they wouldn’t STFU and let him finish, bc they knew he would shut em down and they wouldn’t have a leg to stand on!!!! That show is an absolute joke, and the hosts are pathetic!” tweeted Twitter user “Courtney.”

As painful as it is to watch The View, it’s important to note there are many Democrats who tune in every day to get their political news.
The utter ignorance of the shrews when it comes to President Donald Trump and lawful impeachment proceedings is astounding. In fact, there should be a flashing warning sign before the show and after every commercial break telling the viewers this show is only entertainment and should not be taken seriously.
The View was named the most important political show in America by The New York Times, which tells you exactly all you need to know. It is part of the problem in this country, dumbing down those who think Whoopi Goldberg and her cohosts grasp the issues facing America today. Until it’s canceled, we will have to contend with their nonsense and point out the numerous lies and misconceptions they spout every day.
