Whoopi Claims Trump’s ‘Bahamas Comment’ Proves He’s Racist — Gets Torched

President Donald Trump stated Bahamian Hurricane Dorian victims must have “totally proper documentation” to enter the United States and warned about “some very bad gang members and some very very bad drug dealers.” Whoopi Goldberg claims that is definitive proof Trump is a rabid racist. Well, that’s when Goldberg got torched by Americans who prove she is dead wrong. You’ll love this.

Whoopi Goldberg isn’t apologizing for demanding Americans take her word that President Trump is a blatant racist. “People are constantly saying you always talk about race. Well, this is a race card. The card can’t get any bigger than this,” Goldberg said referring to Trump’s statement on Bahamian Hurricane Dorian victims.

So, what did Trump really say that has Whoopi and her cohorts on The View crying racism?

“We have to be very careful. Everybody needs totally proper documentation,” Trump told reporters on Monday when asked whether the U.S. is requiring visas for people affected by the storm.

He added, “I don’t want to allow people that weren’t supposed to be in the Bahamas to come into the United States, including some very bad people and some very bad gang members and some very, very bad drug dealers. So we are going to be very, very strong on that.”

Leftists are being disingenuous in their reporting. This is a tricky situation where parts of the Carribean are United States territories, like the U.S. Virgin Islands, and other parts are not. Regardless, most people wouldn’t see Trump’s statement as racist, just consistent with his border policies to protect Americans.

It’s true, some of the hardest-hit areas of Hurricane Dorian are parts of the non-U.S. territories which are poverty-stricken. Any American tourist who has visited the Bahamas, specifically Nassau which is devastated by the hurricane, can attest to the warnings it is a high crime area.

It’s devastatingly beautiful, and it’s devastated by crime and poverty. Just last March, the United States issued a warning to American tourists. “The US Department of State announced a travel advisory against the country [Bahamas],” reports Bussiness Insider. Violent crime — including sexual assault and armed robberies — is “common, even during the day and in tourist areas” according to the department travel-advisory site.

Which brings us back to Whoopi and her reckless statement claiming Trump is a rabid racist.

Tuesday on ABC’s “The View,” the panel discussed President Trump saying Bahamian Hurricane Dorian victims must have “totally proper documentation,” citing “some very bad gang members and some very very bad drug dealers.”

Co-host Joy Behar said, “He is so despicable he makes my head, my hair stand up.”

Co-host Sunny Hostin said, “It’s just cruel. It’s inhumane. He lacks humanity.”

Behar said, “If they had a hurricane in Norway and they were all coming here, I think he would be fine with that.”

Co-host Whoopi Goldberg said, How do you not look at this man and say this is a racial problem?”

She added, “As a black person, that’s what I mean as somebody whose black who’s often told, ‘well, you know, you’re just saying he’s a racist,’ I’m not just saying he’s a racist. I’ve always said he was a racist but now.”

We didn’t catch the president talking about a specific race. If anything, Trump is specifically calling out criminals. But don’t tell that to the shrews of The View. And what about Cuba? Cuba was hardly hit, maybe they’d be willing to share the burden of taking in refugees? Or maybe Whoopi and her crew would be willing to open up their own homes?

Well, Americans torched Goldberg for her ridiculous comment.

Whoopi and her colleagues are the racists by ASSUMING he is talking about a specific race,” tweeted Twitter user “Joan C.”

“Whoopi Goldberg on Trump’s Bahamian migrant comments: ‘How can you say this isn’t ‘racial’? Anytime the rats are called out, the leftist racists squeal like pigs,” tweeted James Thompson.

“Whoopi Goldberg on Trump’s Bahamian migrant comments: ‘How can you say this isn’t ‘racial’? jUST READ WHAT P.T. SAID; THIS IS NOT RACIST! WHY DOESN’T WHOOPI TAKE THIS UP WITH DR. ALVEDA KING, WHO IS A GREAT SUPPORTER OF P.T.,” tweeted “E.M.S.”

The truth is America will bear the burden of sending money to the Bahamas and taking in the majority of its refugees. It’s what we do.

On Monday night, the Department of Homeland Security said in a press release that “the U.S. Embassy in Nassau is open for emergency visa appointments and U.S. Customs and Border Protection Ports of Entry are prepared, should Bahamians request to temporarily relocate to the United States.”

President Trump was speaking as the head of a nation which has seen its citizens hurt and killed by migrants. It’s kind of how a father would react to bringing an unknown refugee into his own home. Trump’s concern comes from a place of love and responsibility to keep his family safe.

This isn’t about race, it’s about being the bottom line when you have 300 million Americans counting on you. This is one of the big reasons we elected Trump. He’s willing to take the slings and arrows of the left and do the right thing.
